The War to End all Wars- WWI 1914-1918
World War One started with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary. With his assassination, in a country that was very divided by ethnic titles, the "dominoes" began to fall with nations linking up in arms alongside their allies in Europe. In the Untied States, President Wilson remained neutral in the face of entering the war, but maintained services to ship goods to different countries at war that ultimately led to the US eventually entering the war effort in 1917. |
